BABY NAMES, BABY NAMES! There are tons of books on baby names and their origins on the market nowadays. How do we choose from a long list of favored names? It has been difficult choosing a name for our baby, especially coming from a diverse background. Kent comes from a Welsh/English/Swedish background whereas I come from a Mexican/Arabic background.
Kent and I just couldn't decide on a middle name. Well, we knew that we wanted his first name to be William. That's Kent's first name, and the name of his grandpa from his mom's side. But finding the middle name was MEGA hard. We want him to know where he came from as a hispanic/white/arabic mutt. His name should be a reflection of that! Falling back on family names also helps.
That's why we we're naming him after his mom! He shall be called:
WILLIAM NASSER EVERETT.
William is of Old German origin, and it means "determined protector." It's a strong name. Nasser is Arabic and it's not just my name, but my biological father's as well. It means "triumph," "help," or "victory." The name, Everett, is Old English. It means "strong boar" or "wild boar." So, our son is a strong and determined boar that is triumphant. There isn't anything about that that isn't awesome. And that's a fact.
