In the works

This box showed up a day early and I couldn't be more excited!
Get ready Angela to create!

also, here's a video of Andrew ( Kent's cousin)  and Emily's reception back in August. Justin Shepherd did a great job filming the wedding and Cortney his sister, photographed the wedding.  They are super talented and I just wish I had hired them for my wedding. Cortney is taking our family pictures this year and I can't wait for that.

On Saturday our ward's Relief Society had a fun Sisters retreat/get to know activity. We had a wonderful spiritual workshop, tried a hand paraffin wax, learned how to make your own body scrub and had the option of doing a meditation session or yoga. oh and a resourcing session where we talk about the things that we wont to learn or need. All this followed by a delicious Lunch. In helping to get know each other I made these name-tags you see below. I heard great things from the sisters that day and now we are using them each Sunday in Relief Society.
I am so grateful for the Relief Society Organization. In the 9 years that I have attended Relief Society I have learn tremendously from the examples of great women. This weekend is the General Relief Society meeting where we will be hearing from the RS presidency and most of the time from the Churches presidency or one of the apostles. Its wonderful to think that all the sisters in the world that are part of this organization will be uplifted in the things the Lord sees fit to address.

Enough of me preaching. Here are the pictures.

“As women participate in Relief Society, they serve as valiant disciples of Jesus Christ in the work of salvation.”

Be HOT & Modest...

You have to watch this video. Courtney Kendrick over at C. Jane Enjoy it does these little blog videos each week and they are funny! This latest one is great. its great because well you just have to watch.
She gets emails from women all the time trying to tell her how to act or dress ect...
I love the way she handles "hate mail" and she does it so well.
I understand that being in the position that she is in some may say " you've asked for it" but most of the "hate email" comes from LDS women. ouch.
way to go Sisters of Zion!
(sarcasm)
charity never faileth, maybe?
Bottom line. no one is perfect.
all I can think of is hypocrites.

Williams 2nd bday party

We celebrated Williams 2nd bday in San Diego. We took him to Pizza Planet! no not true, we took him to Chuck E Cheese. He was enjoying himself for the first hour but by the second he had had it. totally normal for a 2 year old, right?
I am so grateful that my family took the time out of their busy schedule (wedding stuff) to come out and celebrate with us.
His party ( if you haven't guessed already) was To Story themed. nothing fancy.

Will is 2

William turned 2 on Wednesday August 24th. I can't believe my little man is growing up. He is the most sensitive boy I have ever met.
He doesn't like to be touched but when he feels the need for some cuddle, we are always ready.
He doesn't do well when on vacation. It really messes with his sleeping.
But when we are home he takes two 2 hour naps a day plus he is sleeping from 8:30pm to 8am. the boy can sleep.
He enjoys eating trail mix, cheese, flour tortillas, veggie/fruit smoothies, black beans, mild curry, rice,   cereals, oatmeal
He likes to smell food before he takes a bite.
He loves his new Thundercats sword Grandma Judy got him
He loves to listen to kids songs in the car that Abuelita got him
He is crazy about his daddy.
He says Mama, puppy, baby, book, blue, bye, hi.
He says "Dee" for everything else. He understands so much but it will take him a while to speak fluently since we speak to him in spanish and english.
He loves to read and usually I find him on our rocking chair in his room reading.
He is crazy for Disney movies. This year he loves, Toy Story, UP, Hercules, Robin Hood (the fox one) Wall-E, oh and lets not for get Tangled.  He also loves to watch marvel cartoons and Thundercats just like his daddy.
I am so grateful for Will in our lives. He teaches me something every day, usually its patience.
He knows that every night its bath time, reading time then family prayers.
He loves to help clean up and make messes.
William we love you and can't believe you are so big now.

one minute you are this small

The next you are this big!
