Trains and Planes

about 2 weeks ago we went up to Ogden to a cousins wedding reception. During the day we went over to  Union Station to look at the Train Museum and to the Hill Aerospace Museum with Kent's Uncle and his family. It was a hot day but the kids were having fun just looking around. We did too of course.

A few days before we went to the museum Kent showed me this trailer for a WWII true story the Tuskegee Airmen. I am excited to see it.

   2 weeks ago I made this slip extension for a skirt that I wore at Kent's cousins wedding. I didn't do a good job at documenting it but just today UCREATE posted a tutorial! I recommend you do this. I used a slip and curtain valance which I found at D.I. the combo cost me less then $3.

back from San Diego

We are back and I am so excited to be with Kent. 

Our week was full of bridal shower fun, 2nd birthday for W at Chuck E Cheese ( Toy Story themed), wedding, shopping, swimming, dinner with the fam and a little trip to the ER.  Drama that should only be watched on a self help T.V show, W loving his uncles who after this summer may never want to have kids. fun with the cousins and aunts and a plane ride home delayed 3 hours only to get home at 2 am..

Lessons learned while on Vacation: no more trips without Kent. must have a car, Will needs his own room, Go to the Zoo or any other fun place with your son even when no one wants to go. and its always a good idea to live far from family.

Will turns 2

This year Will turned 2 while we were in San Diego for my cousin Julio's wedding. This year we decided to have his party at Chuck E Cheese and throw in some Toy Story into the mix ( his favorite movie). Will was not feeling so great that day so I don't think he enjoyed it as much. It was nice that my family came to celebrate with us.  Will got some wonderful gifts that day and we appreciate the time our family and friends took to celebrate with us.

Picnic on set on our Sunday afternoon

Kent had to water some plants the studio planted for this weeks shoot so we packed up a little picnic basket after church and headed over to set. The drive was beautiful. It was extremely windy, sandy and hot. No wonder he comes home full of sand head to toe. 

Kent's friend/boss was there too watering plants with and he brought his family. 

I am impressed at all the hard work and energy put into building sets for movies. I am so happy that Kent loves his job and has fun doing it. The people he gets to work with are super nice and fun. 

We are not allowed to post pictures of the actual set at this time but here are some pictures I took on my phone on our way up there.

Weekend fun

Saturday was Kent's best friend's birthday. We drove down to Bountiful to spend the day with them. We had fun eating homemade pizza, walk around the Gateway, the boys played video games while the girls hung out, babies napped, had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and played at the park before bedtime. I hope Scott and Janel had as much fun that day as we did.

RAMP day in Ogden

  On Saturday afternoon we drove up to Ogden to visit my sister in law and her husband. We took Will to Dinosaur Park and The Treehouse. both were free that day and Will had a good time. While we were at Dinosaur Park we ran into one of Kent's uncles and his family. That was a nice surprise. 

  Our weekend was full of family time and lots of activities. And that was a nice break from our daily routine.
