Our 1st year Anniversary

July 24th 2009 we celebrated our 1st year married! We went to Red Iguana for dinner in SLC. It is amazing!!! We recommend you go and eat there.
It has been a wonderful first year. They say the first year is the hardest. Kent and I don't agree. It has been a blast for us! And, it went by so fast. We basically live with the best roommate ever! We have had many growing experiences and the adjustments were small. I am so excited for the next chapter in our life with our baby! I am so blessed to be married to my best friend.

Celebrating my 25th Birthday!

We had a weekend of fun! Thursday I spent all of the day resting! Being pregnant takes all of my energy. Kent took me to Jason's Deli for lunch and went shopping for some new summer shirts. Later that night he made me a delicious steak dinner. After coming home to find my birthday present on Friday, we went down to the Gateway in SLC and met up with Jenny my sister in law and her boyfriend Jeff. Since her birthday was on Monday we decided to celebrate together at Tucanos for dessert. After that we went and saw Harry Potter which was pretty awesome!

Kent put together my favorite treats and things
I will need when we go to the hospital. He spent all
day putting it together.

Thank you Amor!!
Saturday we spent the early afternoon
in Park City at the National Ability Center
for their Open House.

Kent took me to Ottavio's Italian Restaurant
last night since it was their last day open!
It was so nice seeing my friends there and
saying our goodbye's. It was so much
fun working there!

Staying cool...

Kent and I have been very careful lately about what we eat. We eat tons of salads and we grill A LOT!!! Just yesterday we had chicken kebabs and they were delicious. Grilling in the summer time is the best. not only is it healthier but it keeps the house from over heating.
I'm due in less then 6 weeks and staying cool and hydrated in the summer is my main priority. Smoothies have been our latest craving. Just today we made one and it was delicious.  We made up our own concoction. if you want to try it here it is:
1 cup Frozen peaches
half banana
1/2 cup of pineapple juice
2 cups of ice
3 tablespoons of plain yogurt
2 slices of pineapple
1/2 of a riped red mango.
BLEND IT WELL AND...VUALA

The weather was nice and we are able to have a 3 day weekend of fun!!!!  We went to a BBQ on friday hosted by the Chung's  in Draper and on the 4th we went over to Janel's parents house for BBQ and fireworks in Orem. 32 weeks and counting

Went to the Doctors and found out I'm measuring at 34 weeks.  Doctor thinks I'm going to have a "little bigger than average" baby. Its okay with me as long as he is healthy and strong and he comes out soon!!!
Almost every women I speak to tells me to take advantage of my free time to sleep because I won't when he's born. Why do they say that when you have what looks like a basketball for a stomach to prevent you from being comfortable?!! I couldn't sleep even if I wanted to. I'm at the point in the pregnancy where I can't sleep no matter what position I get in, no matter if I have a million pillows or if its a nap during the day. He needs to come out soon!
With all the changes happening I feel like I'm being passive in my own body and I have no control of it. If stretch marks want to appear on my side, then they just do. Some days my feet want to be swollen. Somedays even chocolate gives me heartburn. I can't eat Italian food anymore and ice cubes are my new best friend.
You know what? It's worth it. He kicks all night and lets me know that he's fine. When his daddy speaks to him he moves around and all I can think is, it's worth it.  He gets the hiccups and sometimes when we tap on my stomach he hits back. ITS WORTH IT!!!
