Normally for my dad's birthday I like to send him a card that features a glittery Sponge Bob or a Maya Angelou poem about how Sunday service is always sweeter when you're black, but this year we decided to deviate from tradition. By harnessing the power of a camera, Final Cut Pro, the internet, and a dash of procrastination, we were able to send him a new kind of birthday wish.
I'm not sure who amongst our readership will be able to sit through over three minutes of just baby faces and noises. But I figure the grandpa who actually tried to make silly faces at his grandson over a web cam in an attempt to elicit a reaction might actually enjoy this.
I'm having a really hard time being home all day. When I say all day I mean not working. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty to do at home. I'm sad the weather is getting colder or else i would be taking Will on walks with me. He is growing so much. He will be 2 months this Sat. He is so alert and smiles a lot! I love when he tries to talk. He can hold his head up and kicks like crazy! I think he is going through a grow spurt because he wants to nurse every 2 1/2 hours.
We received a lovely Halloween package from my wonderful mother in law (Mom E) last week! Will got 2 cute halloween outfits. besides the yummy candy and cupcake decor, we got one of my favorite movies. BETTLE JUICE!
Last week I got a brand new sewing machine thanks to my wonderful mother. I have had a growing desire to learn how to sew and finally I have the chance to learn. I have my eye set on some projects which i can't wait to start but first, i have to learn how to use my new machine. Thankfully, an elderly lady from my friend Maribel's ward is teaching us how to sew! I'm so excited.
Also, I am starting water aerobics this week with some women from my ward. its 4 times a week at the Provo Rec Center. oh how I miss being in a pool! Staying healthy and fit is sometimes hard but we are so much happier!
William had a check up today. He weighs 10lbs 11oz at 5 weeks old. He is getting CHUNKY! As of 2 weeks ago, he out grew his newborn clothes and now wears some of his 3 month old onesies. We have to get more clothes for him soon!
I have been reading a book my cousin Cortney recommended called "On becoming Babywise". I have followed its method and William is now sleeping through the night and feeds every 2 1/2 to 3 hours a day. It has been so helpful since I am now going to start working 3 hours every evening for a Dental Company. They have me schedule their patients for cleanings and evenings are the best time to find them home.
Kent is busy with school and work. With a busy schedule he still finds time for our little family. He has decided to get a minor in Visual Arts which means 2 more semester at BYU. He graduates in April. yay!
We are so excited for Fall! pumpkin patches, carnivals, and corn mazes HERE WE COME! oh and HALLOWEEN!!!
