Stringtown Polar Express

We heard about this family that has put on a train ride/ meet Santa thing for years for free but since it has grown, you have to make reservations and if picked, you get a call.

So last week we got a call saying we had been picked!

The stars ( our schedules) aligned and we got to go on Monday.
We first check in and wait in their garage where we can watch Polar Express on a giant screen.

When its our turn we sit down outside and hear safety instructions

Here we go!

We go on a little train ride to the North Pole to visit with Santa.
all along the way there we listen to Christmas music.

We get to visit with Santa and tell him about Robots and candy canes

Will was super excited to see Santa,  get a candy cane and a new shiny bell.

Sam was just excited to get a candy cane. all he would day was "go, go"

After we visited with Santa, he expressed to us that the true meaning of Christmas was centered on Christ.
So before we got back on the train, we started singing "silent Night"
We got back on the train and rode by beautiful paintings of Christ.

It was so very sweet.

After we got of the train, we had the opportunity to write to military personnel and to missionaries.

It was a wonderful Family Home Evening.

Thanksgiving 2013

 Thanksgiving this year was wonderful.
It was just the 4 of us.
It was a relaxed day.
We didn't plan too much.
Even the food was super easy, we eat at 3pm!

Kent set up our projector and we watched Pacific Rim.
Isn't the screen awesome?
We both made it.
We used blackout fabric, I sewed the bottom to fit PVC and Kent made the ring holes on the top to go on hooks.

Bijou Market!

Our second event!

We were invited to be vendors at Bijou Market in downtown Provo.

It was a crazy week. Kent and I alternated working at our jobs. how that works out every single time is beyond me. All I know that it is the work of Heavenly Father.

The boys both had double ear infections, Kent was sick too. and then I got sick but the show must go on, right?

I am grateful for friends who help us out.

Kent was able to help me set up on Friday but I had to take down everything on Sat with the boys. But it all worked out!

Bijou was fun.

November Relief Society Craft Night

Back in October I was released from being second counselor and then called to be activities leader or coordinator...

anyways, i love it! I absolutely love it.

For November we had a Christmas gift craft night.

It was all planned out by my good friend Suzy who was the activities leader before me.

we did picture tiling, puzzle blocks, advent calendars, hot chocolate mugs, and candy trains. I was so glad to see over 30 sisters show up to this event.

Dia de los Muertos

November 1st and November 2nd we spent all day at Thanksgiving Point.

It was our very first event!

This was Thanksgiving Points first year hosting a celebration for Dia de los Muertos.
There was beautiful folkoric dances from many parts of latin america, lots of venders and crafts for kids too!

If you don't know what it is, click here

My mom drove up from San Diego to make tamales and I am so very glad she did because she had so much success selling them at the event!

She was the only one selling Mexican food. We sold in less then 2 hours on both days.
People told us they drove all the way from West Valley and Park City  to Lehi to get some tamales.
I think that was pretty neat.

To make a long story short, I was asked to be in next years community and I am so excited for that! Next year we are going to have even better stuff!

Kent and I are  extremely grateful our little shop Flor de Luz Shop is doing great!
