(living and loving healthy}

No junk food over at the Everett home. well, maybe just a little. anyways, we're getting into shape for the summer. changing our eating habits and going on more walks. We've been taking turns going to Rec center. My legs are so sore from the Stairmaster. Kent is running right now and getting ready to start weight training. its such a blessing to have the Rec Center so close by. Since we are on this healthy kick i've been following this blog which I love. her latest post is on Quinoa. If you didn't know already Quinoa is a grain like crop from South America. Its usage dates back to the Incas. interesting fact: The Incas referred to Quinoa as"chisaya mama or 'mother of all grains'.
anyways super healthy.
Kent and I first had this delicious alternate to rice (or anything unhealthy for that matter) back in 2008 while visiting the Howards in Park City.  We love this stuff and eat it everyday. We buy it from Costco for a pretty good deal. its really easy to prepare. here's a little video from a fun blog on how cook it.
check out My New Roots.
